John Masino Band

John Masino, former CBS recording artist, guitarist extraordinaire, writer and producer, has been performing for most of his life.  John was a member of many popular Midwest bands including Baby Fat, Chunky Pie, Hi-Fi, and the very successful 70’s band PUNCH.  John has opened shows for John Mellencamp, The Tubes, Cheap Trick, Foghat, and many others including guitar legends Rick Derringer and Robin Trower.  In the early 80’s, John was a successful session musician in New York City before moving back to his hometown Madison.
Recent accomplishments for John Masino include:  winners (with his band) of the MAMA (Madison Area Music Association) “Best Rock Performer” for 2012, and “Best Guitarist” for 2010, winner of the 2012 Guitar Center “Battle of the Blues” Madison competition, winner of the 2011 Guitar Center “King of the Blues” Madison and Minneapolis competitions, honorable mention from for “Heaven” from the new CD “Really?” released in December of 2011.  (available on iTunes and at  BBB Films has just released a movie about John’s 70’s band PUNCH which is available at
